Its always a pain having to go into them and save them as jpegs so that i send them on, post etc etc.

So its a pain in the arse to go into paint, hit save as, and then switch to JPEG. Wow, seems like a whole lot of work to me. |

Posts: 903 Joined: 18 Apr 2004 | The reason why it is saving it as a .bmp is because L2 is using the Native Windows screen capture, which uses Microsoft's .bmp format. Blame Microsoft for not putting an option or using .jpg by default. (and don't get me started on Microsoft... I am a system administrator and w2k3 is my prefered OS. yes i also do linux, solaris, vms, irix, osx) Love, |
Posts: 150 Joined: 22 Sep 2004 | One reason for using BMP is that you don't lose quality on the screen capture. It's always better to capture with full detail than to assume the user wants the image to be compressed. At least this way the user decides when and how he wishes to compress the screens. I use a program called ACDsee to convert groups of bmp's to jpeg's. I've converted over 1500 screenshots using this program. |

Your chars name, for example... Why isnt it there? And why does it look like your cam is so near to the ground? |
