Huh? I have a that tool (although I never used it, I just downloaded it out of curiousity ;)), how should they make anyone pay for it if he already has it? That is kinda strange...

But someone should really include a keylogger in that botting programs it would be so cool to keylog all of those cheaters' accounts, hehe :)

My understanding was game guard and L2 update often enough that you must continiously update  your bot program or you will be caught/blocked out right... so my guess your paying for updates...

How often does L2 actually need to patch? Really.

Between chronicles, we're lucky to get a single patch fixing a few minor problems.

If they don't update, they can't beat the botters. Why not just make it connect via a random port which changes via a small patch each day? Or something to that extent.

The fact is, we only ever see reductions in botters when we get a new patch out. They change something, rendering the bots useless, but it's only a matter of time before they figure out what changed and adapt the bot.

If it was changing every day, i doubt the botters would be able to keep up, hence - reduction of botters.

I dont like ebayers, but i never considered them cheaters. On the other side, botters are cheaters.
In Lineage 2 the one who ebayes can get better equipment. That's obvious, but it's the same in real life. Rich people always had better stuff than normal people.

No, because you attended the race at your own will. If you dont like that guy, just quit the race.

You make a good point. I still consider them cheaters (for the sheer fact they're breaking the EULA), but you'e made me think a little, that doesn't happen often :P

Though yes, no matter how you look at it, botting is cheating. To steal your analogy:

You turn up to that race having saved up for years for the same model ferrari as the other guy for another race, you then notice while racing that he's not there. You're actually racing KIT from nightrider and he can do everything you can just a little quicker and more efficiently while the car's owner sits there on the sidelines grinning.

So to sum up: Botters all own talking cars and laugh at us excessively when they turn up to imaginary races with us.

You know whats fun? Killing da cheaters. I killed three botters in dwarf vilage with my new dwarf alt at lvl 13-14. It was fun. I reported three of em, one of them I think is banned(W00t GMs!!!) because he or she hasn't logged in for like a day or two.

On Sieg, the dwarf land botters log out whenever you hit them.

If they're in the same area as me, i hit them whenever they come near my mobs. That gets rid of them for 5 minutes or so.

i just train em till they reprogram the bots to log whenever i come in the area (just out of sight range). i even had a clannie test it because after a week or so of working hardin's accademy over, all the bots were gone. so i got a clannie to check it out while i wasn't there, and he said it was full of bots. then i ported there and all the bots left ^^. now if only they would leave for good...
