As far as karma and CP are consernd, these are key elements of the pvp system. CP is a 2nd form of health, which is strickly reserved for other players attackingt you, this wasent an original feature, but was added later on, most likly to prevent the 1 shot kills that started accuring as people got to be higher lvls. And Karma is something u build up from pking people, as u kill players u gain karma, and also, your kill count prior to a pvp will determine how much karma u get per kill. Karma will determine 2 different things,1 of which will obviously be, how hard it is to become nuetral again, and no longer be red (chaotic). |

You gain Karma points by killing a player that does not flag (name goes purple) back. if you gain karma, your name will be displayed in red, marking you as a player killer. and red means free kills for everyone else, so be carefull when you decide to kill another player. You have two options to reduce karma points. one is to kill mobs, every bit of xp you get will decrease the amount of karma you have until it is down to zero. Second option would be to get killed. Everytime you die you will loose Karma points too. CP is an extra hp bar for pvp. if another player hits you, the damage is first subtracted from your cp-points and only after they are at zero, will your enemy be able to hit your hp (exception would be dagger with some of their skills that go streight for hp). concerning the idea of creating a warlord. if you have a healer friend, elven elder or bishop would be best shilien elder is okay too, it can be a fun class to play. your main problem with them is getting into a group. warlord is specialisied in AoE-fighting. this is usualy bad for normal groups that rely on pulling single mobs and sleeping any adds they get. also since their pole weapons are geared to hit many mobs at once, their damage per mob is quite low, so groups will prefer any other DD over you. so it can be a very lonely class choice. if the idea of being able to aoe is something you fance, i would suggest you take a look at the Orc Destroyer or the two Dwarfen classes. The dwarfs arent the greatest fighters, but will be able to hold their own comapred with a warlord. also both have the option to gain more adena on the side by either spoiling extra materials from the mobs they kill (bounty hunter class) or by being able to create weapons/armors (warsmith). of the two dwarfs the bounty hunter will probably the best choice for a beginner, as groups allways like to get the extra mats and they can sell for a decent amount of money. crafters will need to get higher lvl to realy be profitalbe for you and they have a harder time getting groups, as a lot of people claim that a warsmith doesnt bring much to a group he is in. the most flexible choice would be the orc Destroyer. Their prefered weapons are two-handed swords or blunts. but they do well with one handed weapons and also have aoe-poll masteries so they far pretty good there also. because of their wide choice of weapons and their good basic stats, they will have the easiest time to find groups. mounts in the game are usualy only status symbols. they enable you to travel a bit faster than you normaly would, but to lvl a mount up you need to either buy it on the market (expensive!) or lvl on your self. and lvling one isnt that cheap either. concering the skills. yes you keep them, but usually only the passive skills you get will stay usefull for you. the active skills will get replaced with more powerfull skills once you did your class change quest. for the first few lvls after class change, the lower lvl skills will stay attractive, but after that your new skills will be just so much more powerfull that you just stop using the old skills. also DO NOT worry if you can not afford all skills at lvl up. in this game this is a pretty normal situation. the only time you will be able to afford all your skills upon lvl up, is when you did die a LOT before (or you did buy one of the sp-scrolls from the seven signs npc). Hi everyone! I've been googling some L2 faqs but none seem to plainly answer my questions, so i thought why not ask directly? So here goes
First of all are there any mounts in this game?
When you make a class transfer do you still get to keep your previous class skills?
Whenever I open Lineage 2 my desktop brightness shoots up to the extent that nearly everything is almote white. It's still usable but it's just annoying. Is there any way to fix this?
Can you view helmets/capes?
I'm thinking of developing my fighter into a warlord. Think that's a good idea? Could anyone give some pros and cons on that class?
I'll update this as I get more questions :)
