Moderator  Posts: 5537 Joined: 30 Jun 2004     | I heard some people have this problem that their anti-virus won't let them start the game. I think you are supposed to manually "tell" your Anti-virus to allow the program to run.

On the offical forums they stated that it is a problem with the encryption of the L2.exe. Often maleware is using the same protection to hide, so quite some securtiy software is reporting L2 as a trojan/virus/maleware. Lineage2: prepare to grind - like you've never grinded before |
Adventurer  Posts: 493 Joined: 7 Aug 2006  | the problem is with AVG antivirus,it removes the actual l2 exe file,the only way me and my friends were able to fix this was to re aply the l2 exe to the system folder, i now keep a copy of that file on hand, as AVG only acts stupid like this once in awhile "From rivers of sarrow, to oceans deep with hope,i have traveld them" Chuck S. Although, we all truly know why L2.exe is reported as a trojan ;)

Hi
Was going to get back to the game after a while vacation. So im downloading the hellbound-client from lineage2.com (its the link my account is giving me for download), but when installing, i cant start it. It says that L2.exe cant be started and that its some trojan or something (bought new computer since last time i played so havnt got old client installed).
What should i do?
