But seriously, I think pretty much all the characters are the same as far as spending money. The secret about not spamming SS is to grind in lower level spots where mobs would be easier to kill. xp won't be as great but xp is xp. But if you party with others you don't need top gear and SS. There have been plenty of times I've been in a non SS group. We just all agree not to use it unless necessary. And now, you don't need to buy heal pots or buff pots to grind. There are the new areas that the mobs drop all that for ya. Try doing repeatable quests for cash. There is usually a money making quest for every hunting zone. You can also save money by not using the gatekeeper as often. I know it sounds crazy but it's true. I abuse the GK and before you know it you lose a big chunk of change just porting back and forth. You can also try the manor system but I know I've given up on that. I just can't seem to beat Jijjkijjikkij and fgfgfglol (bots of course) to the manor guy every week. Also you can use the newbie guides to get weapons now. Stick with those weapons at low levels and save money for A grades. And stay away from those over priced over enchanted weapons and armor pre B grades. They look cool and do well but you'll be stuck trying to sell them later. Well at least I did...lol.

SH would be still a good second choice, their solo/duo play style means that they tend to get nearly all of the drops for themself instead of having to share with a group. downside is that if you cant craft your own equipment, you will be paying a premium on your mage weapons and the robe sets. Master Looter Posts: 2315 Joined: 13 May 2005 | BD and WC would come to mind for that. SWS to a slightly lesser degree. but catas solo is hardly effective (at higher lvls) for any class. most solo people have an out of party uffer/healer sitting close by. Warlock or PS can solo a small room or larger one carefully by "pulling" the mobs out 1 at a time. |

If you wish to play a class that is cheap to level I would suggest some kind of nuker. Even though they use BSpS, which are more expensive per shot than SS for melee, they only need to use it once per mob. Sometimes twice (but then you should look for a better place to grind). SH are awesome for this because they can level practically non-stop thanks to their mana regen. Necros are like that too, but at some point (I can't remember the level), they can no longer regen mana as good. The necros are a lot stronger in PvP, however. As for soloing catas, pretty much any kind of melee DD class can do that if they have buffs.

I too started a th and am currently sitting at lvl 66, when u can randomly drop a 4xhp physical resist mob down to 25-35% hp in 1 hit (lethal strike), its a good feeling, not to mention profitable. I personally have a gladdy and found very little trouble trying to get money from levels 1-61 until A-grade. Although if you do not want to make a glad, try choosing any character you want and then make a dwarf artisan/scavenger to try to gain adena for your main. |

Not if you choose your hunting areas well and don't spam Bsps, I used Bsps manually. It has been my cheapest toon yet, mind you I already had gear up to A-grade for it, but for PvE I almost exclusively used C-grade Demon robes and +10SoH. |

I suggest a Caster of some type, or a buffer, since they can use NG weapons during D grade as long as they group all the time.

is there a character that doesnt have to spam soulshots, that is...cheap to build(he can manage with low end equip) and that is good at making money besides the dwarf (i cant play dwarf :D dont ask me why)
basically what is the next best thing in money making besides the dwarf
