and another thing
is it true that you can exchange a katana at blacksmith of mammon for a raid or a spirit sword?
and a delusion for a homunculus?
and if its true is it free of charge the exchange?
ps really sorry for double post

U can change any D and C grade weapon for an equivalent one (that gives u the same amount of crystals when crystalized). That means sword for sword, or bow for fist, etc; no matter the weapon type.

And in B grade u can exchange any weapon or fist, but not fist for any weapon (not sure about this, i just read it some where, need someone to confirm :P)

for d and c grade weapons there are two exchange options.

one is free of charge. that is where you can exchange weapons of equal crystal value for any other type of weapon of the same crystal value. as long as you only exchange your weapons for equal crystal count ones you do not loose enchants that where place on your weapon. SAs are not transferable. second "exchange" option is to upgrade your weapon. there you need to pay the blacksmith AA and in return you get the same type of weapon, just of increased crystal value.

ok
that being settled lets get back to the original topic of this thread
isnt increased critical rate better over other SA`s?
increase attack speed by 4% isnt much in my oppinion (from 100 swings of the sword you make 4 more no? :D)
if you land a crit isnt it increased damage?

You cannot exchange B grade weapons.
Atck speed was +8, no? In either case, when I was playing I was using the l2 calculator to see what was better. +Spd turned out to be better, and especially if you are going to be pvping you are going to want that increased atck speed so that your skills reload faster and you shoot them out faster too.

Here, I made some samples with l2calc:

Lvl 48 Gladiator +4 Raid*Raid (Haste)
NO BUFFS
104.2
Lvl 48 WC BUFFS
149.3
Full DC BUFFS
269.4

Lvl 48 Gladiator +4 Spirit*Raid (Focus)
NO BUFFS
103.9
Lvl 48 WC BUFFS
151.5
Full DC BUFFS
277

So if you have rather high level buffs, you are better off with focus, otherwise you should stay with +spd. Not only is it better without buffs, but also it is better for PvP which you WILL be seeing while you level!

And also if you are able to get a hold of some better OEd haste duals, they scale a lot better than focus with buffs. So it is still better.

Overenchanted. Meaning not just +4, but something like +8, +10, whatever.

if u can get ahold of them, +10 or better tsu*sls will serve u very well for pve, some people use them thru s grade but I would only recommend them thru A grade. Cheaper shot, good crits, equivalent p.atk. (forget the exact and I can't go to l2calc atm)
