Ok so I´m dl this game from fileplanet and make account and Im happyhead. Then my avg8 detects a virus in lineage 2. I switch to Avast but still , its there too. So I uninstall lineage2 and think oh what the heck. But now everyonce in awhile I get this Trojan generic bla bla warning.

I tried a bullguard trial but it blocks my computers connection to eachother so Im back at avg 8.

I know some others on the lineage 2 forum posted this but only got the usual replies like stop dl porn or use avast. Im pretty sure it could be false alarm?

yeah, i had this same problem with the trojan warning. it has something to do with the code NCSoft used to pack their file in, this is often also used by writters of maleware and thats why avg gives you the alert.

i dont remember exactly what stopped the problem for me. it was either a L2 patch (just run the auto-downloader) or an avg update. try both and you should be fine. if you still get the pop-up you can even use the "delete" option presented by avg and your game should still work just fine.

patching l2 and updating avg doesnt work (or at least i have yet to find a way)
just open avg and remove the l2 file from the virus vault each time you have an issue. contacting avg to report the l2 file as safe wont work either.

i have just accepted it as what is.

it happned a few times for me, i just always kept a copy of the exe. handy just incase.But the issue did stop, like gurag said ether l2 patched or avg patched. I have also had this issue with just about every game that uses game guard.
