The idea of the kamael, at this time of the game, just don't fit to me. A new race that has never been even mentioned on the history of L2, that has a wing 0.o on its back...that even seems to be overpowered based upon what u can read everywhere. I am not telling that the game has to evolutionate and add new things to keep their user and to gain new ones, but i think NCSoft has lost their way with this. They should be adding new zones, weapons, skills, trying to make a real balance of the game, u now, that winning a pvp depends on your ability using your char and not just piking a HE or SPS and thats it. Instead of that, they are craping many chars and adding a new one race that, to my point of view, is a little controvertial. I don't know what ncsoft has in mind, but as i spoke with many old players, no one like this change.

No one would disagree with your comment but it is after all a game. I believe that this game is losing its players over the years and they just need to liven it up a little. Adding a new character to this game has its down but on the other hand it has a new twist to the style of the game. About a year back they were planning on creating L3 but looks like the creater just upgraded the current game. my 2cents anyway...

The Kamael seem to be linked to the Aerial race of the l2 lore. could be something like the dark version of these aetrias or what ever their name was.

I (personally) would like to, instead of adding a new race with their own weapons, that every race has their own kind of weapons. Just think about bows or dagger just allow for elves or drows, big fists or 2 handed blunt for orcs, and so on. You know, to make them look like the race that are using them.
The game still has a lot of player, and in my oppinion, if they have lost many of them was because they never turn to balance the game, or to add more "role playing" stile, like having skills to craft, lumberjack, mining, tayloring, etc, and not just going around killing mobs.
The big mistake in this game is that you keep doing the same thing all the time. It has no variety, and that is really important. Think about UO, it has been 10 years in the market and there is still many people that play it. Its ugly on their graphics, the play system is hard, but the variety it offers make that game the best of the best.
Hope someday L2 can have that kind of things to offer us.

agreed... but people still like this game for other reasons than just variety, try the community. Honestly, I think most of the people around me are quite nice, still a lot of jackasses here and there but still, most of the people are quite generous. I've played a lot of other games like in WoW where a lot of the population act like underaged kids who just ends up pissing me off. I've also played a lot of f2p games, and I must say, if it's free to join, a lot of unwelcomed players will be joining...

These new games with "factions" and no death penalties and super easy soloable crap just breed idiocy.
