Moderator Posts: 5351 Joined: 30 Jun 2004 | If you want to pew pew with 3-4 (and maybe a 5th) buttons, and see people drop left and right then play Gladiator. If you want to play a fun, very involved and skill-oriented character that will have you hot-switching between all three of your shortcut bars and get your adrenaline pumping, then play Tyrant.

Moderator Posts: 5351 Joined: 30 Jun 2004 | No. It's just that a Glad wears heavy armour, while a tyrant *should* wear light armour. If you play your tyrant well, making use of your evasion totem when needed, then your light armour will only help you.

Posts: 2297 Joined: 13 May 2005 | since gladies tend to use mostly heavy armor their basic p.def tends to be higher than the light armored tyrant. but i wouldnt say that they "better" defence. glads will get hit more and tyrants will evade more. if i have to choose, evasion is my choice. since not taking damage is better than taking less damage. also tyrants have stun allways available with their fists, glads have to change to blunts for that and loose time. furthermore tyrants will close in faster on ranged targets and have more chances to get their hits in. glads are more dependent on being able to spam their ranged skills. sure if you get a glad to third class he will get a powerfull nuke like skill that does a lot of damage, but i hate to grind a class that far just to get good at something.
