Hello, some of you know me some of you do not.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>Those of you who do know me know me as a very avid roleplayer.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>I enjoy roleplaying and the company of other good roleplayers.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>I have for a long time been contemplating becoming a founder of Lionna's Roleplay Gatherings.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>Most of you are thinking, well the server already has plenty of roleplay events, what is different about this one.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>The difference is that this will be a real life gathering.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>I would like to host more or less a LAN Party dedicated to the roleplayers of our server.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>I have been casually speaking to many people about it who I know live at least within a few hours driving distance.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>Most have been genuinely interested.

My original thoughts and hopes were to host it at my husbands new LAN Gaming Center that he is opening but that got pushed back to do legalities, his grand opening has been pushed back and I was REALLY hoping to host this before summers end, or before school starts for some.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>So, if I want to do this I will have to host it at my home which is not a problem, it just now makes attendees bring their own PC's.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>And being at my house it obviously limits the number of people that can come.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>But to be completely honest, I don't think there will be that big of a turn out anyhow. But we will see.

This is what I am now hoping to organize and I am posting this to see if there really is some genuine interest.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>First, being that this one will have to be held at my home I will have to limit the attendance to 15.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>Only a select few will be able to sleep at my home and that will be by invite only, so please don't ask.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>Obviously those will go to the people I know and trust.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>So many of you will have to find a hotel in the area.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>It will start on a Saturday Morning (Maybe a Friday depending on interest) and go until Sunday.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>There will be a lunch and dinner BBQ and snacks throughout the day, so you will not have to worry about food.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>I also have a hot tub to enjoy.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>There will be a roleplay event that will have a worthwhile prize.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>Like maybe 1 Million adena or a video card or something, I will see what I can put together.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>Because of the cost to feed everyone, prizes, and the electricity I would ask for a small donation, like 10-20 dollars, just to contribute to the expenses.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </SPAN>Most likely I am shooting for the last weekend in August.  I live in Modesto, Califoria.  This event will be fore people who are 18+ years of age and there WILL be drinking and if I catch anyone drinking that is not 21 I will boot you out and keep your computer!

Another possibility for those of you making that trip already is the GenCon gaming convention at Indianapolis. Anyone who's been up there for the roleplaying and other events at gaming's "super con" would know that there is a a gaming LAN set up with about 40 machines or so. The Last Gen Con I was at was about 2 years ago and I know that they were set up for a lot of games including Everquest. So that might be a viable option. Although at this point I wouldn't recommend going up there for this alone. But if you are going to be at GenCon anyway and DO play Lineage check out the gaming LAN and find out if Lineage 1 or 2 is installed on it. And if it is post a notice on the Gen Con message board and who knows what might happen. If I do find out Lin 2 is among the gaming LAN options I'll let you all know so that we might be able to actually do something next year.
