Posts: 44 Joined: 3 Mar 2005 | As Sarai was inside and hidden, considering her next course of action, a dark figure came stepped onto the blackened ground of this Material Plane. Her face was that of a beautiful Human female, garbed in dark almost midnight black, shimmery robes. These robes were elegant and form-fitting, with magically sewn in runes of power. The gate swirled outside the renegade temple and then ceased to exist in a quick flash of light. The Demon Necromancer, known as Ivory, sighed softly as she looked over this ruined temple. It was obvious the aura of the temple had changed as this distrubed her greatly. Murmuring to herself she blessed her own form with the blessings of her dark profession, and stepped to the large double doors of the temple. Taking the handles she pulled them open effortlessly and stepped through, her red iris'd eyes flaring with concern. She spoke, not aware of the events going on here, as the Goddess summoned her to find out why this temple's aura had changed. "Hello?" She exclaimed. "Bloody Hell, this is just typical. Send me to a backwater temple to find it empty. Great, just great.." She stopped her out loud thinking as she felt the presence of Death. Shutting her eyes, she could feel the corpses near. "Two.. no.. three bodies." She thought. "Alright.. what is going on here.." She questioned herself. Following Deaths' draw to the Oracle that was now being eaten.. she came upon the body. Kneeling aside it, the Dark Elf had at least 4 black spiders feeding upon its once, lovely form. While this pleased Ivory to see, she did not have time at the moment to enjoy such simple pleasures. She needed to find out what killed her, the others, and why. She sighed softly, and turned her view to the divine alter. Rising up, she began walking to the alter, her robes flowing in the gentle breeze that was coming from the double doors she left ajar. Stepping past the alter, she looked up into the rafters and noticed that there was yet another pair of double doors. These looked to be made of black granite and rough.. not smoothe like the rest of the temple, apparently demarking them as important. "Peculiar place for double doors, and moreso ones that are of a different artisan's handywork.. usually they would be behind the alter or in the basement.." She considered. Sensing darkness around the immediate area, she smiled, but only for a moment.. Something was wrong here as her expression changed.. there was a Shadow and a Silhouette guarding the granite doors. Moving her lips to one side, apparently a look of confusion and annoyance, she saw no way to get up to where they were guarding. Sighing, she lifted her arm and traced a magical glyph in the thin air before her. The red and black colours lighting up as her index finger traced.. Ivory stepped forward and instantly appeared on the same rafters as Sarai, a few feet in front of her and several away from the door. She did this purposefully to give her time to consider the place behind the doors and the reason for the guards. Feeling the presence of one of Shilen's Faithful.. she spoke quietly, knowing the concealed person could hear her in her heart, she did not even turn around to face her. "You can come out you know, they can see you even this far away. They are passive spectres, and will not attack unless you come near the doors." She awaited a reply from the faithful soul that was hiding behind her as Ivory brought her hand to her own chin, and rubbed it considering her next move. [Edited by Ivory at 8:21 PM on 6/2/2005] |

She knelt close to the mage and peered down at the guarded doors. The spectres not as much the problem as what was behind the doors. She reached over her shoulder and losened her sword where it rested. "The fact you exude the aura of the goddess is the only reason I did not run you through the instant you materalised." Sarai paused. "There is an entire temple of renegades here. The only help the goddess sends me is you? Ah well. I have done more with less." Sarai quickly, and quietly sketched out for the other loyalist what was going on. How the dark elven elder Terentus had gathered a following seduced by some power. All of the dark elves here trying to bind Shillien completely, so that not even her power slipped across the viel between worlds. "I am not certain who this other power is. Eva is to weak and scared. Paggero to consumed with his childrens battle lust. For all I know it may even be him." Not voiceing the forbiden name of Gran Kain. "I will be sure to ask the leader when I capture him. The first thing however is to get those things out of the way without alerting the entire complex." |

Ivorys' red iris's pulsing softly with a deep, eerie glow, her expression one of slight amusement as her dark hood covered her red and black hair. "Ah.. yes indeed, Faithful One, I do forget you mortals still fear the delicious embrace of Death. It is a pity that Her children still hold such trepidations in their heart.. but not unexpected. You do not know the sweet, lingering kiss of Death, do you child? Well, worry not, your time will come, and you will know all too well the exquisite gift that is the ultimate showing of servitude to Shilen." "Fear not, you wouldn't be expected to sense or to know of such things that are the realm of the undead or overtly magical in nature, as your talents are light magic and physical combat, not the pure Arcane, or Undead Arts." She paused for a moment to consider this female Knight. She felt her Faith to the Goddess to be strong, and that pleased her. Her eyes bore deeply into the other females, studying her, looking into her soul.. she drew out her arm as if to touch her.. reaching out to her soul.. but then lowered her arm just as quickly, reconsidering. Such temptations were something the Goddess loved to do to her. Being a Demon Necromancer in the utmost service of Shilen was a daunting task indeed, especially for one whom has existed as long as she had. "I find it amusing that you speak so highly of your power, my child, as you spoke of 'running me through' if you had not sensed the Goddess' lingering touch upon my aura. You believe me to be so weak? Words such as these are a sign of weakness, and weakness is not tolerated by the Goddess, in her Shilen Knights, and especially not her Personal Necromancers. So do us both a favour, my dear, hold your tongue until you know of that in which you deal. Because underestimating your 'perceived' opponent could result in... unnecessary suffering." Finishing her retort to the young Knight, she again turned to face the doorway. Stepping closer she was still very interested at what could be behind it. "If these fools did feel my magic, then they know with whom they now deal with. Rise, my Dark Knight, Shilens' Will, becons." Outstretching her arm once again, her palm facing outward, magical energies started to swirl about her hand. Glowing colours of red and black, swirling, mixing into eachother. A quiet light also began to emerge around her, as magical glyphs came into existance on the floor around where she stood and the Dark Elf female knelt, they began to turn like a wheel, counterclockwise.. spinning slowly. Her eyes shut and she began to murmur an incantation.. The Shadow and Silhouette began to glow.. their very forms glowing hotter and hotter.. they could not speak, they could not move.. They could only endure the burning of their forms until they exploded, their silent screams filling Ivory's ears. Their existance ceased as a duet of simaltaneous explosions occurred that left the sides of the black granite doors riddled with the astral plasma that created them. The spell faded, and the glowing around her ceased as she lowered her arm to her side once again, not even turning around as she spoke.. "Ahhhh.. the beauty of suffering.. the melody is one that never gets dull to me... Let this be a lesson, my dear, young Shilen Knight, do not underestimate the Wisdom of the Goddess'. Sending myself here was more than enough for these pathetic wretches. Now.. Let us see how deep this rabbit hole goes, shall we?" She smirked playfully, as she walked forward to the double doors, letting the female Knight have her private expression from what she just said, saving her from having her embaressment visually perceived.. |

"Sience they are aware of us anyway let me call some friends." Sarai said with a bit of a smirk. She placed several small crystals in a invocation circle at her feet. A small blue and red cubic floated down from the eather to float near her. She stepped in front of the necromancer as they reached the doors. "Let me go first. It will be hard to cast your spells under a hail of arrows, firebolts and their knights trying to carve holes in you. Making her way through the double doors she heard the sound of feet running down the hall. She simply waited as a rather suprised warrior and what appeared to be a dark wizard. The suprised look on their faces was priceless. She moved forward to engage the warrior, assumeing the necromancer could deal with the dark wizard. She parried the blow the suprised man sent at her and sicced her cubics on him. She saw him struggle to lift his sword after the poltergiest sapped a bit of his strength. She toyed with him. Allowing herself a bit of fun. He was a simple dark elf fighter, not even worthy of another rank. She privately hoped that there was better then this deeper inside. "Thus the fate of all traitors." She told him softly as she pierced his armor with the rune blade. The pain he felt as he opened his mouth to scream a wonderful thing to the dark knight. As the dessicated husk dropped to the ground she heard the last few words of the wizards spell. She turned to try to get to the mage before he cast the spell, but he was to far. The high powered wind spell tore into her with a fury as she covered her face with her arms. The magic jewelry she was wearing and her own training helped to take the edge of the spell, but it left not more then a few bruises on her. |

She moved into the first room and saw bodies, but no living, sounds were coming from around the corner. She began to walk into the next room. She saw the Knight protecting herself from a wind attack. She stared at the dark wizard, and in a flag, she robe opened to see her own crushed togeather blades of wind in a ball, she pushed it toward the Dark Wizard, cutting him all over, cuts in his cloths were deep red with his blood showing through. As an arrow flung toward her she simply held her arm forward and the arrow stopped about 1cm from her hand. As a shard piercing noise could be herd, a glass energy shield could be seen momentarily. "Shielen has sent me to assist you." She said seriously. "You need to keep moving, more guards are on their way" With that said she crossed her arms for a few seconds, her hands glowing a deep blue, a refelection could be seen in her grey neutral eyes, she released the energy and the Shielen Knight was blessed. "There, your powers have increased 2 fold." She turned to face Ivory and stared at her blood red eyes, "Lets go." |

She engaged the fighter, which was obviously an unworthy opponent to her skill, and this just made Ivory smile more as she knew that Shilen, her Mistress, chose this Knight well. The male Dark Wizard was preparing a Twister spell. Ivory however, did not act to stop him, but she did however lift her hand to him as she closed her index and middle fingers together and waved them once from left to right, Silencing him. Unfortunately she was too late to curb the first shot he got off on the female Knight. She was pleased to see that the female was indeed well equipped and not like many of the pompusly foolhardy Knights she witnessed whom believe that magical ward jewelry is not a priority. After witnessing that the Knight had successfully 'taken' the spell, she felt another presence enter the area. Yet another of Shilen's Faithful had arrived. This pleased her as she did enjoy being in the company of friends. Hearing the female Wizard begin her incantation from behind her, she most likely was not aware that she was safe from her opponent being able to counterattack due to being Silenced. Watching Sesca's own Twister spell fly forward into the opposing male Dark Wizard, his clothes became shredded, and his body riddled with cuts and a few more serious gashes about his arms and legs. Again Ivory just stood back and allowed the Faithful to act to protect her, her smile widened. After the immediate fray had concluded she heard the female Dark Wizard speak to the Knight quickly and mention that more guards were enroute. After blessing the Knight the female Dark Wizard turned to Ivory, as their eyes met suddenly. Ivory stared back into the neutral grey iris's of the well performed Wizard, looking into her soul as the Wizard did the same.. her blood red iris's flashed once to the Wizardress, and then she spoke. "Indeed, let us be off, the Goddess' work is not yet concluded." With that she raised her hand before her in the direction of the freshly slain, her black gloved hand aglow once more in red and onyx energies. The corpses began to glow themselves with the same energy. A groan came from the male wizard as his body began to rise and the wizard's eyes glowed an eerie green colour. It slowly limped over to Ivory as the undead Wizard awaited a command. The other, the Dark Elf Fighter, she was not concerned with and ergo detonated his corpse with a Corpse Burst.. its chest exploding and parts coating the walls on each side of it with internal matter. Lowering her arm, she leaned over to the undead Wizard and whispered into its ear, it simple nodded, its bones crackling as it did. "Mmmm.. Can never have too many servants, you know." She said with a playful grin to Sesca. "Oh, I do not believe I caught your names, Introductions are in order. My name.. is Ivory. I am a Demon Necromancer. I would not be surprised if you had not heard of me as my given... task, is one usually not of this plane of existance.. however, I have been called a few times to matriculate through this Prime Material Plane to serve the Goddess, Shilens' Will." Her eyes once again meeting the neutral greys of the female Dark Wizard, she smiled. "And you are?" |

However against such inept opponents such as this I suppose it does not matter." Introdutcion perfromed she took off down the hallway taking a moment adjust to the enhancments placed on her by the new arrival. She saw an archer raise her bow and aim at her, but even the lowest of Palus Knights learned how to ward of arrows and the arrow shot at her was easily deflect off her sword. Two quick slices of her sword left the archer in a pool of her own blood writhing on the floor missing her arms. No doubt finding it hard to shoot at people with her arms on eaither side of the hallway. Though the archer was not dead yet she probably would be once the two wizards caught up with her. The common troops were just no match for her. They were fodder and they knew they were fodder. Sarai cut them down without so much as a word well ahead of the mages. It was a knights duty to clear a path for those who wielded the powers of the goddess. She stopped as she felt the ground shake. She moved around a corner and barely raised her sword in time to parry a blow by a rocky monstrosity. As it was the blow was hard enough to numb her hand. She had seen such creatures in Cruma tower before. She and younger knights and a few elders and wizards had trained in the arts of battle there. Swords and arrows simply bounced off the constructs, they were magical so it took magic to destroy them. The large rocky monster flailed at her, and in the large chambers of the tower of Cruma this was not a problem, they could simply be dodged. Here in the temple hallaway however there was no room for that. She heard more then felt the crunch when the creature hit her left arm with a solid blow. The life draining runes on her sword ment nothing to a creature who was not alive. Her vampire cubic simply bounced off its stony hide, though the poltergiest cubic did soften its rocky shell a bit it was not really enough to make a differance. She stood her ground holding the creature off as best she could waiting for the magical assistance of the demoness and the other dark elf. She was taking quite the beating from this thing, and without her heavy armor and her shield to withstand the things mighty blows she was not sure she would hold it back to long. Posts: 44 Joined: 3 Mar 2005 | Making her way down the tight corridor, Ivory hear the sounds of battle, motioning for Sesca to follow they came upon Sarai trying as best she could to hold off the being known as a Porta. Sensing the dark magic from it, this was no ordinary Porta, a much stronger version it would appear... Her right hand raised to the monster, she could not get a clear shot off because Sarai was in her direct path. Frowning softly she was going to tell her to move, but thought of something else. With her mental link to her pets she beckoned them to advance upon the stone beast, and so they did. Sarai noticed the undead mage and Ivorys' skeletal ally move to either side of her. The Skeletal warrior pushed on her sternum and flailed her like a rag doll back behind it, pushing her out of the way so they could deal with the monster.. The Skeleton warrior used its sword against the beast, ripping away pieces of it on every stroke, as its power far exceeded that of the Shilen Knights'. The undead mage began murmuring ancient words that made flames appear, warming the hide of the beast to that of a softer gelitan which could be more pliable to attack... "Sister, attend to the arm of our Lady Knight as I deal with this blasphmeous beast." |

(Anyone miss me? Anyone notice I was gone? =p Ah new high speed is great. =) )
Sarai kneeled behind a tree on the outskirts of the renagade temple, a cloth across her face and her white hair tucked up under a dark hood. She watched two Shillien knights patroling outside the temple. She wondered how so many of her brothers and sisters had been drawn in by the false elders message. It was by purest chance she had found out about his foolish plan to reinforce the binding on the goddess.
The two males at the door proved to be as useless as she though. They were not worthy of the title they beared. She smiled under the cloth that covered her entire face save for the eyes. She disdained the heavy armor of her order to preserve her mobility.
A few soft words and she ripped out the very life force of the male to the left of the doorway. His companion immedately recognised the spell used universally by the order and reached for his sword to call out the alarm. As soon as his mouth opened it was filled with one of her throwing daggers and he collapsed next to his companion.
It was but a matter of a few moments before the mess was cleaned up and the tracks brushed away. She waited a moment to see if any of the oracles or elders within this dishonored place noticed. Apprently they had not as of yet. She shook her head. The training of her renagade counterparts left much to be desired.
Making her way up to the small crawlspaces that were used to keep the roof in repair she crept along looking down at those below her. Here and there in the small spaces a spider stared at her from the darkness, being the size of small dogs they left her alone, apprently knowing somehow that she was there on the buissness of the goddess.
She stopped above a oracle and a pallus knight to listen to them.
"Terentus says he will bind the goddess even more fully, so not even her avatars could cross the void, wouldn't that hurt us?" Asked the oracle.
The knight shrugged. "Apprently he found a diffrent power source for our spells. I do not know what it is nor do I care. If Shillien is weak enough to be bound again then it is her own fault."
The two continued to discuss for a bit and the knight left. The oracle stood there a moment to think. Reaching down Sarai yanked the oracle up into the broad beams of the roof. The little squeek the woman had let out not loud enough to be heard.
The captured oracles eyes widened as she saw her cloth swathed captor. "You are a traitor." Sarai said softly, almost soothingly. "I am sure you have all kinds of excuses for what you have done. I care not. Where is he? Quietly now. We do not wish for this to become....unpleasent do we?"
The oracle shook her head quickly and said in a bare whisper. "He is in the lowest part of the temple. He plans to invoke the spells there."
A few more minutes gave her all the information this insignificant oracle had. With a nod she let go of the womans arm. "As I said before, you no doubt have your reasons for what you did. I will let that be between you and the goddess."
"You are letting me go?" Asked the oracle in an astonished voice.
"In a mannor." The Shillien knight replied. "I am letting you take your case before the goddess herself."
With a quick twist of her hands she snapped the neck of the oracle, paraliseing her, but not killing her. She motioned a few of the spiders over to deal with the body. It was not long before the traitor was aptly rewarded for her actions. No doubt the goddess would find her excuses amuseing.
Continueing along the small space between the roof and the beams she stopped before a set of larger doors. These led deeper into the temple where she needed to go. However her place of concealment did not go that far. Her other problem was the spectres that floated on eaither side of the door. If these bound spirits had been turned to aid the renegades then she would not be able to destroy both before one gave warning.
She sat back on her heels and considered. She was no wizard able to summon such things and banish them at will. She let one hand rest on the hilt of her sword as she considered. This promised to be at least interesting, if not fun.
