hi!
i've recently installed the new software of microsoft windows vista.however, i'm having problems on playing lineage 2 and i think is because of the non compatibility of the win.vista on lineage 2.

does anyone can help me pls??

sorry to tell ya, but ashley is right. you will have to wait to play L2 with vista until the service packs came out, most likely it will be service pack #2 (just a personal guess based on past experience).

remove windows at all, and install linux. Usually that fix your problem lol

Apparantly a vista fix is nearly ready. There was a post on the official forums regarding a test fix being deployed on the PTS, so expect to see it on the normal servers soon.

i have windows vista and no problem at all running the game. if you're talking about not being able to start the game, try

right-clicking on the desktop icon (or wherever your .exe file is), then choose "run as administrator"

I was playing lineage 2, then i got some updates and now when i load up, nothing happens. Except when i open up task manager i see l2 in the processes. But yea, nothing loads, not even if i do run as admin

stevrca has part of it right. I was trying to run L2 on the laptop I just purchased, which has a fresh copy of vista home premium on it. You do have to right click the L2 icon and go to properties, but there are two things you will need to do:

1) Select run as administrator.
2) Go to the compatability tab, there should be an unchecked box next to an option that says "Run in compatability mode with:" check that box, then underneat it, select "Windows XP Service Pack 2" from the dropdown menu.

I was having issues with Vista as well, but setting it up like that, I've been running no issues whatsoever, 1920x1200 res, all options high, whereas I wasn't even able to load it before changing its settings.

I've just got a laptop and was upset that I couldn't run Lineage2 here. I've done above steps but it didn't work. Is there any other way to fix the problem?
